Mount Tamalpais State Park

Tamalpais means 'coastal mountain' in the Miwok Indian language, and it is known for its beautiful and sometimes rugged hiking and biking trails.
Mt Tam highlights include the annual Mountain Play and the famous Dipsea, the oldest footrace in the West.
